I promise that I do have other things to blog about coming up, but here's what I got through in March:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CCpr6zHpY2Y/T39IYMcj-YI/AAAAAAAACF8/L8Om0IOTFWU/s1600/IMG_4030.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="307" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CCpr6zHpY2Y/T39IYMcj-YI/AAAAAAAACF8/L8Om0IOTFWU/s400/IMG_4030.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<b>Hair Care</b><br />
<br />
I got through a load of hair care stuff in March - a lot of it was from gift sets I got in the sales after Christmas as a way of trying more expensive ranges for not many pounds.<br />
<b> </b><br />
Ojon Dry Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner - I did really like this and I would use it again, BUT I hated the bottles that the product was in, particularly the conditioner. The bottles were made from really solid plastic and with such a thick product inside, I only got two uses out of the conditioner. There were at least two more applications in the bottle, but despite shaking, inverting the bottle, and trying to get it out, I couldn't, so what a waste!<br />
Philip Kingsley Shampoo and Conditioner - actually nothing spectacular - I liked it, but it didn't wow me.<br />
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Extreme - on the other hand, this stuff was amazing! It's a pre-shampoo treatment and it did wonders for my hair. I got two applications out of this sachet and I've got two more sachets of it in my stash. Something I'd definitely buy in the future.<br />
Fekkai Advanced Shea Butter Ultra Rich Mask - I think I paid £15 for a gift set which included this mask, a glossing cream and a hairspray, but this product on its own retails for £25 - bargain! Actually, looking on HQ Hair, you can buy <a href="http://www.hqhair.com/fekkai-winter-indulge-set/10540787.html">the gift set</a> I got for £25, or pay £25 for the <a href="http://www.hqhair.com/fekkai-advanced-shea-butter-ultra-rich-mask-198g/10360779.html">product alone</a> - why would you do that? As for the product, it was a really nice conditioner - it wasn't £25 worth of nice, but at £15 with two other products, it was a good deal.<br />
<br />
<b>Shower Gel</b><br />
<br />
Korres Guava Shower Gel - this was another sale bargain, think I paid £5 for it, and it's up there as one of my favourite shower gels ever. It smells lovely, makes a great lather and lasts for ages (over a month on two showers a day). Definitely something I'd consider repurchasing once the shower gel mountain has receded.<br />
<b> </b><br />
<b>Face Care</b><br />
<br />
Clarins Multi Active Night Cream - another sale gift-set purchase. It was nice and moisturising, particularly in the colder months and it wasn't too heavy like some night creams can be - you could wear it under makeup. It wasn't a knock-out product though.<br />
Palmers Gentle Exfoliating Facial Scrub - I've had this knocking around for ages - I went between liking it and hating it. It's a good scrub for occasional use, but not for a daily scrub. The kernels are quite large and can be a bit too scratchy rather than scrubby.<br />
Bliss Pore Perfecting Facial Polish - another scrub, another gift set and another item I wasn't blown away by. This works fine as a daily scrub, but it's too gentle for me, I like a scrubbier scrub. It also didn't last very long. I'm so fussy about my facial scrubs!<br />
<br />
<b>Lotions and Potions</b><br />
<br />
I'm back on my mission to reduce my moisturiser mountain, so there are a few I got through here.<br />
<b> </b><br />
Scholl Hard Skin Softening Cream - a foot cream that's OK - not as good as Flexitol though.<br />
The Sanctuary Body Butter - I've used this before, I like the smell and great for the winter.<br />
Bliss Lemon and Sage Maximum Moisturiser Cream - loved this stuff. It lasted ages, felt lovely on my skin and smelt great. It says on the bottle that it was developed as a massage cream, and I used it for that purpose as I've developed lots of injuries in my marathon training. I was able to massage my calves for about 10 minutes without reapplying, but it didn't leave any stickiness, just softness.<br />
<br />
So, quite a few things got through in March - no makeup though. Hopefully there will be some more in April!<br />
<br />
Thanks for reading! xxTheBristolBeautyBloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138329330818583888noreply@blogger.com1978tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5735643765183067203.post-52498163949284051502012-03-25T19:02:00.000+01:002012-03-25T19:02:29.817+01:00January and February Empties<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So I lost my blogging mojo in the early few months of this year and now my laptops broken! But, with my trustee work laptop I'm back in the blogging swing of things now. So here are my empties from January and February - and there are a lot of them!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-unfHWXvGMSo/T29WoorhiZI/AAAAAAAACF0/GUeeEnyvF9k/s1600/IMG_3802.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-unfHWXvGMSo/T29WoorhiZI/AAAAAAAACF0/GUeeEnyvF9k/s400/IMG_3802.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-klN8tC7ath0/T29WbKJYS7I/AAAAAAAACFE/VQh-77mv2K4/s1600/IMG_3784.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-klN8tC7ath0/T29WbKJYS7I/AAAAAAAACFE/VQh-77mv2K4/s400/IMG_3784.JPG" width="186" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><strong>Skin Care and Makeup</strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-buhmkfsP6ZE/T29WdeOEyKI/AAAAAAAACFM/oKIUPN8_TuA/s1600/IMG_3785.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="230" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-buhmkfsP6ZE/T29WdeOEyKI/AAAAAAAACFM/oKIUPN8_TuA/s400/IMG_3785.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div> I used up:<br />
<br />
Lancome Teinte Miracle - love this stuff, have bought some more<br />
No 7 Protect and Perfect Serum - a staple<br />
Savlon Cream - I've always got this in my beauty kit<br />
Dermologica Multi Vitamen Power Recovery Masque - Hmmm, got this in a Glossy Box, wouldn't shell out for it.<br />
Origins Starting Over - my favourite winter moisturiser - will repurchase next winter<br />
Lancome Genefique Night Cream - a bit too heavy for me, didn't use it everyday and wouldn't buy it.<br />
Clarins Multi-Active Skin Recovery Serum - I really liked this, although similarly to No 7, it doesn't go very far. I got this in a gift set in the sales and would repurchase if on offer<br />
Bio Effect EGF Serum - this was from a Glossy Box - A bit too heavy, although it didn't break me out, I wouldn't repurchase<br />
Barbara Daily Face Lift in a Jar - I wasn't impressed with this, despite hearing lots of good things. I wasn't sure if it was a moisturiser, primer or highlighter. It didn't really do a good job at any of those things, so I wouldn't buy again.<br />
Doozle Serum - I bought this after seeing Doozle at a craft fair last year. I really liked it and it wasn't expensive. A good winter serum.<br />
Lancome Gentle Softening Cleansing Milk - I got this free on a Lancome offer - I was really pleased to have a full-sized freebie! It was a godsend for my skin in the colder weather, very kind and not at all drying. It also worked as an eye makeup remover for not too heavy looks. I'd buy this in the future.<br />
<br />
<strong>Hair Care</strong><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-K-YGVD7H7ME/T29WfwWQdsI/AAAAAAAACFU/qX9rE13ldG8/s1600/IMG_3789.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-K-YGVD7H7ME/T29WfwWQdsI/AAAAAAAACFU/qX9rE13ldG8/s400/IMG_3789.JPG" width="325" /></a></div><br />
I got through:<br />
<br />
Neal and Wolf Harmony Intensive Hair Treatment - I got this in a Glossy Box - I liked it, but I probably wouldn't repurchase. It's nowhere near as good as the Bumble and Bumble treatment I bought last year<br />
L'Oreal Elvive Shampoo - a staple<br />
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner - another staple<br />
Batiste Original Dry Shampoo - the "infamous" Glossy Box sample! I'm not a fan of Batiste, I've reverted to using talc for getting an extra day without washing my hair.<br />
James Brown Photo Fabulous Moisturising Conditioner - it OK, I've reviewed it before, probably wouldn't repurchase.<br />
James Brown High Gloss Treatment (not shown all of it) - I preferred this to the Photo Fabulous collection. I got this and the two products beneath as well as some serum for £10 in the sales - bargain!<br />
James Brown High Gloss Shampoo - quite liked this, didn't blow me away, but wouldn't turn my nose up at it.<br />
James Brown High Gloss Conditioner - again, this was quite good, I'd repurchase, but it wouldn't be my first choice.<br />
<br />
<strong>Shower Gel and Eye Makeup Remover</strong><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VB_C53Dp-ck/T29WiJKuAfI/AAAAAAAACFc/Y5bRdO7Re00/s1600/IMG_3793.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="373" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VB_C53Dp-ck/T29WiJKuAfI/AAAAAAAACFc/Y5bRdO7Re00/s400/IMG_3793.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">OK a random grouping here! I used up:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Radox Eastern Spirit Shower Therapy - I got this for Christmas, it smells nice, using it up helps reduce my shower gel stash, but I wouldn't repurchase.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Spa Invigorating Body Wash - another from my stash, not purchased by me. It smells lovely, but I wouldn't rush out to buy it again!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Simple Kind to Eyes Eye Make-Up Remover - Not impressed with this at all. Didn't tackle even light eye makeup very well, the consistency was really waterry and I had to rub at my eyes really hard to remove makeup. Would steer well clear in the future.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><strong>Lip Balms</strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3UTmJ4jFGOM/T29Wk_zWLMI/AAAAAAAACFk/tYjylMit9bc/s1600/IMG_3795.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3UTmJ4jFGOM/T29Wk_zWLMI/AAAAAAAACFk/tYjylMit9bc/s320/IMG_3795.JPG" width="219" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><br />
Coca-Cola Lip Smacker - loved this, tastes just like Coke! I've got a cherry coke one as well I'm currently using.<br />
Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 - don't believe the hype - this stuff isn't great, but at about £10 it should blooming well be! It's too thick, I didn't like the applicator which got all gummed up with lip balm and it didn't taste that good. Not worth the money and would really put me off repurchasing!<br />
Dermalogica Renewal Lip Complex - another Glossy Box sample. It was OK, I quite liked the consistency and it was really moisturising. However, the taste wasn't to my taste, so I wouldn't seek it out!<br />
<br />
<strong>Body Lotion</strong><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VOh3okrLEdM/T29WmvuQUSI/AAAAAAAACFs/lREbcqrvxzc/s1600/IMG_3798.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VOh3okrLEdM/T29WmvuQUSI/AAAAAAAACFs/lREbcqrvxzc/s400/IMG_3798.JPG" width="148" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Oh dear, I've been bad - only one body lotion used up in 2 months. And I was doing so well before Christmas! Time to get into the body-lotion-using-up swing of things again. Anyway, this Nivea Happy Time Body Lotion was very good. I'd be more than happy to receive this again - it performed as well as many more expensive lotions. I wouldn't repurchase as I seriously don't need any more body lotions - I must trim that stash.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So I'll probably be posting next week on my March empties - how time flies!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Thanks for reading! xx</div><br />

Bristol Fashion Week had provided 200 free tickets for bloggers and fashion students to attend and I was lucky enough to get one of them! We were encouraged to tweet during the show and were allowed to take photographs - this was great, as at the last fashion show I went to at Bristol Fashion Week, it was strictly prohibited. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RgagcxDHxpU/T24vCP_fqxI/AAAAAAAAB9k/PQooz8SabZE/s1600/IMG_3901.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="270" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RgagcxDHxpU/T24vCP_fqxI/AAAAAAAAB9k/PQooz8SabZE/s400/IMG_3901.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>Having arrived slightly late, I picked up my blogger pack, picked up a glass of fizz and was ushered straight into the show. I noticed that the girl next to me had a blogger pass as well, so I introduced myself and it turned out to be lovely Laura from <a href="http://adaisychaindream.blogspot.co.uk/">A Daisy Chain Dream</a> - we'd tweeted about the event earlier, so I was really surprised we ended up next to each other! <br />
<br />
Below I've put together my favourite picks from the fashion show.<br />
<br />
<strong>Pastels and Pinks from John Lewis</strong><br />
<br />
The show started off with dresses from <a href="http://www.johnlewis.com/Women/Women's+Dresses/Women's+Dresses/Women's+Dresses/3790/ProductCategory.aspx">John Lewis</a> in a variety of pastel pink colours. The models were trussed up in sweetie wrappers with pastel coloured blue and green lipstick. The dresses shown were mainly knee-length or shorter and were a mixture of work and event-appropriate dresses. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hcot-Lw-JGc/T24vEYwG2-I/AAAAAAAAB9s/jrcH7fd4fiA/s1600/IMG_3902.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="357" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hcot-Lw-JGc/T24vEYwG2-I/AAAAAAAAB9s/jrcH7fd4fiA/s400/IMG_3902.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-L_1eCEdvzxI/T24vGDa4XjI/AAAAAAAAB90/1Mx6Y_vZYiw/s1600/IMG_3903.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="156" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-L_1eCEdvzxI/T24vGDa4XjI/AAAAAAAAB90/1Mx6Y_vZYiw/s400/IMG_3903.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DawOs3ccCf0/T24vHsvWShI/AAAAAAAAB98/BoeRfR0vRO0/s1600/IMG_3905.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-DawOs3ccCf0/T24vHsvWShI/AAAAAAAAB98/BoeRfR0vRO0/s400/IMG_3905.JPG" width="272" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F-k_lQqh_3o/T241KNAHHHI/AAAAAAAACE0/TmPE_ddZ4AM/s1600/Untitled.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F-k_lQqh_3o/T241KNAHHHI/AAAAAAAACE0/TmPE_ddZ4AM/s400/Untitled.jpg" width="256" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>I know it's a terrible photo, but the dress above is probably my favourite from John Lewis. Here's a <a href="http://www.johnlewis.com/300918/Product.aspx">link to it</a> - it's £129 at the moment. I think seeing it modelled on the catwalk really brought it to life for me, as I don't think I'd give it a second glance from the website model!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><strong>Sports Lux from Next</strong><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-X5Rn1WNc59g/T24vK15MCjI/AAAAAAAAB-M/GC0zctygTdE/s1600/IMG_3912.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="302" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-X5Rn1WNc59g/T24vK15MCjI/AAAAAAAAB-M/GC0zctygTdE/s400/IMG_3912.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
The standout piece from the clothes from Next was definitely these coral coloured jeans. I desperately want some coloured jeans to liven up my spring wardrobe and I think these might be the ones! They're very similar to the ones that Kate Middleton has been <a href="http://www.graziadaily.co.uk/fashion/archive/2012/03/19/sales-of-coral-jeans-sore-after-kate-middelton.htm">photographed wearing</a> in the past week, but a lot cheaper. Kate's jeans are from J Brand and are £200 from <a href="http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/190917?cm_mmc=ProductSearch-_-UK-_-Jeans-_-811">Net-a-Porter</a>. I think I've found the ones on the catwalk from Next <a href="http://www.next.co.uk/x4984s2#833619x49">here</a> - they are a lot cheaper, at £40, so I'm definitely considering blowing the dust from my wallet for these.<br />
<br />
<strong>Workwear from Hobbs</strong><br />
<br />
Continuing the trend for pinks and pastels, the Hobbs show was one of my favourites. The clothes are summary and work-appropriate with a nod to the 1950s and are totally my style. I've never bought anything from Hobbs, but I'm really tempted to go and have a look now.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7NfSoaf_ZF8/T24vNRqAzCI/AAAAAAAAB-U/lwwvAwJ59lY/s1600/IMG_3921.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7NfSoaf_ZF8/T24vNRqAzCI/AAAAAAAAB-U/lwwvAwJ59lY/s400/IMG_3921.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lgK7QpspVNU/T24vPucnN0I/AAAAAAAAB-c/AbEXE1hjTmo/s1600/IMG_3924.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-lgK7QpspVNU/T24vPucnN0I/AAAAAAAAB-c/AbEXE1hjTmo/s400/IMG_3924.JPG" width="358" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The outfit above is devine! I think I need to have this skirt in my life - it's totally my style and I love the colours. I also like the fact that it's striped and slightly colour-blocky, but the stripes are slightly more abstract than just straight across. The skirt is the Hobbs <a href="http://www.hobbs.co.uk/product/display?productID=0112-7667-3589L00&productvarid=0112-7667-3589L00-MULTI-18">Invitation Galindo Skirt</a> and it costs £110. I think I might be tempted. The top is the <a href="http://www.hobbs.co.uk/product/display?productID=0112-4323-3554L00&productvarid=0112-4323-3554L00-CHRYSANTHEMUM-12">Invitation Jewel Jacket</a> and it costs £199.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i8u4FcgVVKA/T24vX5zzrAI/AAAAAAAAB-0/gywcLMyTOUk/s1600/IMG_3928.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i8u4FcgVVKA/T24vX5zzrAI/AAAAAAAAB-0/gywcLMyTOUk/s400/IMG_3928.JPG" width="267" /></a></div><br />
I also love this dress from Hobbs, the <a href="http://www.hobbs.co.uk/product/display?productID=0112-5414-3589L00&productvarid=0112-5414-3589L00-MULTI-12">Invitation Jewel Dress</a>. It costs £149 and would be perfect for a wedding, but you could definitely wear it to work in the summer. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Zp7k-y4xesg/T24vW4b01NI/AAAAAAAAB-s/hqVTl_r7D8w/s1600/IMG_3927.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Zp7k-y4xesg/T24vW4b01NI/AAAAAAAAB-s/hqVTl_r7D8w/s400/IMG_3927.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
I didn't manage to take a good photograph of it, but on the very left of the photograph above (purple) is the <a href="http://www.hobbs.co.uk/product/display?productID=0112-5413-3501L00&productvarid=0112-5413-3501L00-AMETHYSTINE-8">Invitation Gem Dress</a>, which is also absolutely stunning but a bit of a splurge at £179. I think the colour and styling is fantastic - I'm seriously impressed by Hobbs and will definitely popping in there.<br />
<br />
<strong>Occasionwear from BHS</strong><br />
<br />
I almost never think of shopping in BHS. However, whenever I do, I buy something - infact my favourite ever sundress was bought from BHS when I was just passing throught. Actually, my Egyption cotton bedsheets were bought in there for under £20 for the set, so it's worth going in there more often. There were some lovely monochrome 1950s inspired prom-dresses at the fashion show from BHS with bold floral prints.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GOWbllspADg/T24vaih00aI/AAAAAAAAB-8/6lVEWSmhVXg/s1600/IMG_3947.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GOWbllspADg/T24vaih00aI/AAAAAAAAB-8/6lVEWSmhVXg/s400/IMG_3947.JPG" width="345" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2xc_zPv15ns/T24vdFG4TDI/AAAAAAAAB_E/CYKR3Kfm558/s1600/IMG_3951.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="341" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-2xc_zPv15ns/T24vdFG4TDI/AAAAAAAAB_E/CYKR3Kfm558/s400/IMG_3951.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Coming in at £49 each, these <a href="http://www.bhs.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/bhsstore/877794/230325">beautiful dresses</a> are a total bargain! I particularly love the <a href="http://www.bhs.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/bhsstore/877814/230325">purple and pink dress</a> above, also £49. Having spent some time browsing the BHS website, they have some amazing dresses - how cool are thier <a href="http://www.bhs.co.uk/mall/departmentpage.cfm/bhsstore/239603/1%7C25">going out dresses</a> and look at the prices - bargainous!<br />
<br />
<strong>Italian Tropical Fashions from Oasis</strong><br />
<br />
I love Oasis when it comes to summer dresses - I own many of their floral bright prints myself and I think the photographs below show that they've done it again for 2012. I love the very Italian look of the dresses - they make me want to pack my bags and go to Rome immediately.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZM-wIpLxxOQ/T24viLMmIuI/AAAAAAAAB_M/_2nUiu1PhSA/s1600/IMG_3954.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="260" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZM-wIpLxxOQ/T24viLMmIuI/AAAAAAAAB_M/_2nUiu1PhSA/s400/IMG_3954.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

Here's the link to the <a href="http://www.oasis-stores.com/TROPICAL_FANTASY/package/fcp-category/categorylist?resetFilters=true&cm_re=1-_-topNav-_-Tropical">Tropical Fantasy Collection</a>. I particularly like the <a href="http://www.oasis-stores.com/Tropical-Jewel-Dress/Totally-Tropical/oasis/fcp-product/3470085000">Tropical Jewel Dress</a> (seen on the left above, £70). There are loads of gorgeous pieces and most of the prices aren't too sky-high either, so I might put a few on my wish-list.<br />
<br />
<strong>Miss Selfridge Nude Tones and Floaty Fabrics</strong><br />
<br />
The Miss Selfridge scene showed off an array of beautiful nude-coloured dresses in soft, sheer and floaty fabrics. It was a very romantic and soft collection.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EGdXeOBPJWc/T24voFxKpoI/AAAAAAAAB_s/Sp79kuK1i9Q/s1600/IMG_3968.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EGdXeOBPJWc/T24voFxKpoI/AAAAAAAAB_s/Sp79kuK1i9Q/s400/IMG_3968.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Miss Selfridge are on to a winner with their Maxi/Mini dresses. Basically, a mini dress with a sheer maxi-length dress over the top, they give you extra coverage, whilst still showing off your figure. The <a href="http://www.missselfridge.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33055&storeId=12554&productId=3618673&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=208036&parent_categoryId=208035&pageSize=200&refinements=category~[208037|208036]&noOfRefinements=1">nude dress</a> above is a very reasonable £45.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nCcq3klpKGQ/T24vpiGPg4I/AAAAAAAAB_0/JJMtzEPCv-E/s1600/IMG_3976.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="385" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nCcq3klpKGQ/T24vpiGPg4I/AAAAAAAAB_0/JJMtzEPCv-E/s400/IMG_3976.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
This <a href="http://www.missselfridge.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33055&storeId=12554&productId=4922585&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=208036&parent_categoryId=208035&pageSize=200&refinements=category~[208037|208036]&noOfRefinements=1">floral print mini/maxi dress</a> is £50 from Miss Selfrdige.<br />
<br />
<strong>Channelling Chanel at Jigsaw</strong><br />
<br />
One of the standout collections was from Jigsaw. It was, according to presenter Mark Heyes, the best rip-off of Chanel he'd ever seen - I'll have some of that! Thinking lady-like fashion, and taking inspiration from First Ladies Michelle and Jackie O, the collection includes work-appropriate tailoring in the pastel spring palette.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2Y1zBW4-7vY/T24vujSSFcI/AAAAAAAACAE/L8BNTKTjKrw/s1600/IMG_3985.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="288" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2Y1zBW4-7vY/T24vujSSFcI/AAAAAAAACAE/L8BNTKTjKrw/s400/IMG_3985.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The<a href="http://www.jigsaw-online.com/shop/1001746/key-looks/wear-to-work-shop/trophy-tweed-suit"> tweed suit</a> (above right) is not cheap with the jacket costing £235 and the skirt £140 ... but it's still A LOT cheaper than Chanel. The Lemon Merino Cashmir Cardigan on the left costs £135 - pricey, but imagine how it feels!</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9cbiOimq9dk/T24vwdlYJwI/AAAAAAAACAI/UZcM47R6qts/s1600/IMG_3986.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="275" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9cbiOimq9dk/T24vwdlYJwI/AAAAAAAACAI/UZcM47R6qts/s400/IMG_3986.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I love this <a href="http://www.jigsaw-online.com/fashion/1001452/J15190/womens/coats-and-jackets/umbrella-cotton-trench-coat">daffodil trench</a>, and at £185, you can justify it as an investment, not a splurge. I also love this beautiful <a href="http://www.jigsaw-online.com/fashion/1001450/J15573/womens/skirts/easter-print-pencil-skirt">Easter Print Skirt</a> at £98.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Q3HEyRHjHA8/T24vxXaqwfI/AAAAAAAACAQ/johHpliSyfQ/s1600/IMG_3987.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Q3HEyRHjHA8/T24vxXaqwfI/AAAAAAAACAQ/johHpliSyfQ/s400/IMG_3987.JPG" width="365" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div> The beautiful <a href="http://www.jigsaw-online.com/fashion/1001446/J15570/womens/dresses/deco-fan-printed-dress">Deco Fan Dress</a> on the left costs £169.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><strong>Celebrating the Great Gatsby at Marks and Spencer</strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">One of my favourite stories was the Great Gatsby-inspired, 1920s feel of the Marks and Spencer Collection. Apparently, this is going to be a strong trend through the summer, and with the release of the Great Gatsby film in autumn, it's likely to continue through the winter as well.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YeTRowrA1gg/T25HlX1nTvI/AAAAAAAACE8/h-AOkjbMSOI/s1600/IMG_4011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YeTRowrA1gg/T25HlX1nTvI/AAAAAAAACE8/h-AOkjbMSOI/s400/IMG_4011.JPG" width="240" /></a></div><br />
I love the wide-leg trousers on the left. I think these <a href="http://www.marksandspencer.com/Seam-Waistband-Wide-Leg-Trousers/dp/B004PM33U8?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_4&nodeId=42966030&sr=1-4&qid=1332626763&pf_rd_r=04XNK5A0BNW2E0YDYN5P&pf_rd_m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_i=0&pf_rd_p=215485807&pf_rd_s=center-3">Seam Waistband Wide Leg Trousers</a> are the ones - at £22.50, they're very wallet friendly and have been added to my wish-list. I couldn't find the dress on the right online, but it's rather lovely as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W9UwicxxaoQ/T24v3vkmbnI/AAAAAAAACAs/v2yxPAO9jZI/s1600/IMG_4016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="302" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W9UwicxxaoQ/T24v3vkmbnI/AAAAAAAACAs/v2yxPAO9jZI/s400/IMG_4016.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I love the cut of the dress on the left and I really like the outfit in the middle for workwear as well. Unfortunately, I can't find either online.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><strong>In Conclusion</strong></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So, the top trends for spring summer 2012 are:</div><ul><li>Pastel colours and soft tailoring</li>
<li>Coral coloured jeans</li>
<li>Purples and pinks with deconstructed stripes</li>
<li>Lady-like fashion, chanelling Jackio O and Michelle O</li>
<li>Tropical, Italian prints</li>
<li>Nude floaty fabrics</li>
</ul><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So, that's my round-up from Bristol Fashion Week Spring 2012. I thought bringing in the blogging community was a great idea and it generated a lot of excitement about the show. Unfortunately, I arrived slightly late, so I didn't have a chance to mingle with the other people before the show and I had to dash off afterwards, so I didn't meet anyone other than Laura. If the organisers are reading this, thanks so much for inviting the bloggers - it was a great idea. I've got loads of fashion inspiration from the show, so I'll definitely be having a little shopping trip to pick up some of the clothes shown soon.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I do think that there should be a programme for the show with the outfits and prices set out in it, as it would make it so much easier for shopping afterwards. When I've been to other fashion shows, such as the one at Harvey Nics, the clothes and pricing was all written out on a programme, so you could make notes or ticks as the models went down the runway. I think that this would help to generate more sales and interest if the Mall did this as well.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">By the way, the saga of my laptop keyeboard continues - I've had to bring my work computer home to type this... I couldn't face doing it with half a broken keyboard! I might do this more often so I can actually do some blogging for once!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">What are your picks for spring summer? Thanks for reading! xx</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div>TheBristolBeautyBloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138329330818583888noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5735643765183067203.post-19380531280180631482012-03-22T23:32:00.000+00:002012-03-22T23:32:04.816+00:00Bristol Fashion Week at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway - Live Blogging Event!<div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Tomorrow I'll be taking part in the Bristol Fashion Week Live Blogging Event!</span><br />

Be warned, this is a mega-post!</span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br />

</div><div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">Last summer I reviewed a <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/07/amazing-grace-dr-hauschka-rejuvenating_19.html">Dr Hauschka facial</a> from Grace Emmerson – it was fantastic by the way. Now Grace has recently opened an <a href="https://www.graceemmerson-online.co.uk/shop/">online shop</a> selling the complete range of Dr Hauschka products as well as men’s grooming products from Speick. </span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">As well as selling the products, Grace is offering Treatment Reward Points which are redeemable against Dr.Hauschka Treatments, Rejuvenating Facials and Massage. A £50 spend will result in £6 off a treatment – not bad! </span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">You can see Grace’s website <a href="https://www.graceemmerson-online.co.uk/shop/">here </a>and I thoroughly recommend a treatment as well!</span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;"><b>An Eye For Fashion – Norman Parkinson Exhibition and Events at the M Shed</b></span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br />
</div><div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">If you haven’t yet been to the M Shed yet, I suggest you make your first visit to see the <a href="http://mshed.org/whats-on/exhibitions/">exhibition of Norman Parkinson’s 1950s and 1960s fashion photography</a> that’s running until 15 April. My friend was lucky enough to get two free tickets for us to go to the opening night party in January, which was fantastic. Most people dressed up in vintage or vintage homage clothes, the drinks were flowing and there was a 1960s covers band, which really added to the significance of the photography to British fashion heritage. </span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br />

</div><div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: small;">As well as Parkinson’s beautiful vintage fashion photography, there was original 50s and 60s clothing displayed throughout the collection. What really made this exhibition come alive for me was the information about the clothing and also details of how women in Bristol were dressing contemporarily to the photographs and which shops they bought their clothes from. It’s a fascinating slice of social history, as well as fashion history. Another friend of mine who went to the exhibition is in her 60s and she absolutely adored itas well – it took her right back to her youth. If you, your Mum or Granny was young in the 1950s or 1960s in Bristol, I’m sure that you/she would love this exhibition. Anyone else who appreciates 50s and 60s style (and who doesn’t) would also find this excellent. Seriously guys, I can’t recommend this highly enough – just go to it! </span></div><div class="MsoNoSpacing" style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br />

I'm not sure what happened, I lost my blogging mojo for a bit and suddenly 6 weeks had passed. I didn't intend to take a break, but I think life just got in the way a bit.<br />
<br />
Anyway, I haven't just been a bad blogger, I've also been a bad beauty addict. Since I last posted, I haven't done any of these things:<br />
<ul><li>paint my finger nails</li>
<li> paint my toe nails</li>
<li>dye my roots</li>
<li>do a fake tan</li>
<li>do my daily moisturising.</li>
</ul>Oh dear, I seem to have developed some bad habits! So what else have I been up to?<br />
<br />
<ul><li>Working hard (my job never seems to let up)</li>
<li>marathon training (this is taking up so much of my time)</li>
<li>bizarrely not losing any weight despite the marathon training</li>
<li>mainly hibernating when not doing any of the above activities!</li>
</ul>I'm also in the middle of a marathon challenge which involves saving up loads of money in order that me and the mister can move out of our too small flat into a bigger house in a nicer area. This is a challenge that will take at least another year and it's one that means I have to budget... and I don't mean that I'll say that I'm budgeting, but then go and spend loads of money on beauty and clothing - no, I actually have to do it! I've got some form on this - I managed my challenge before Christmas not to spend anything for two months on beauty and I passed it with only a £5 wobble - that's pretty good going for me. <br />
<br />
I've had to think long and hard about how I budget over the next year - it's a question of setting a budget that is realistic, but also isn't over the top. When I was a poor student I used to have a beauty budget of £25 a month and I was quite comfortable with this. However, I know I couldn't stick to that today. Now, I have more expensive tastes and I'm not prepared to compromise. I've decided to set myself a monthly budget of £100 for all beauty related stuff - from face cream to bikini waxing, from toothpaste to haircuts. It sounds like it's quite generous, and I think it is really. I'm hoping that I'll be able to stick to this, with money to spare which will allow for the occasional splurge or I can save it in the house fund... we'll see.<br />
<br />
So that's what I've been up to whilst I've been AWOL - I hope all my blogging friends are well and I promise I'll be back this week with some more posts! <br />
<br />
By the way, the 'k' button is broken on my keyboard - it's the most annoying thing! Especially as my name starts with a 'k'. I have to paste it everytime I want to type it.... at least it's not the 'e' key I suppose...<br />
<br />
Thanks for reading! xxTheBristolBeautyBloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138329330818583888noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5735643765183067203.post-47667985694025650352012-01-01T19:55:00.000+00:002012-01-01T19:55:22.749+00:002012 Challenges - Challenge 1 Shower GelYou may know that I like a good challenge. Having recently successfully completed some no spend and use up moisturiser challenges, I thought I'd embark on some new challenges for 2012. My challenges are two-fold, trying to use up the stash of products that I have and to try to save money. We're saving up for a new house and the less I have in my stash, the less I'll have to take with me when we eventually move!<br />
<br />
Today I'm posting about my shower gel challenge. My challenge is to not buy any shower gel for the whole of 2012. I attempted this last year, but failed, buying three shower gels during the year. I probably could have succesfully completed this challenge if I hadn't bought them, but it would've been very difficult. Anyway, that's not the case this year. My shower gel stash is brimming with products, swelled with Christmas and sale bargains. I've also received lots of bubble bath at Christmas and as I rarely take baths, I use this in place of shower gel. I have not doubt that I will successfully complete this challenge with shower gel and bubble bath to spare.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uph7d1VFJh0/TwC5li_mw9I/AAAAAAAAB8U/NLTxYq5EIGs/s1600/IMG_3635.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uph7d1VFJh0/TwC5li_mw9I/AAAAAAAAB8U/NLTxYq5EIGs/s400/IMG_3635.JPG" width="295" /></a></div><br />
The photo of my stash shows I have 28 shower gels and bathing products. I've also got one open that I'm using at the moment as well as one I forgot to include in the photo. So that's 30 in total. There's no way I'm going to use these all up by next Christmas, but I'll give it a good go. I'm certainly going to hold myself to not buying any more shower gels in 2012. I'll post occasionally about which ones I've used up.<br />
<br />
Are you planning on any challenges in 2012?<br />

I can't believe it's the new year already, how time flies! Anyway, I've again saved all my empties up for the past month. I've managed to get through quite a few things this month.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QmovP1gc1Pk/TwCvHqgOfKI/AAAAAAAAB8I/30SfzCh_BJE/s1600/IMG_3614.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QmovP1gc1Pk/TwCvHqgOfKI/AAAAAAAAB8I/30SfzCh_BJE/s400/IMG_3614.JPG" width="376" /></a></div><br />
Hair:<br />
<br />
L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Shine Shampoo - this lasted me for ages. It's clearly stuffed full of all chemicals, but my hair really liked it - one of the few shampoos I've used that doesn't tangle my long, thick hair.<br />
Aussie Miracle Moist Conditioner - I do like Aussie products, and I like this conditioner.<br />
<br />
Body:<br />
<br />
3 body lotions I've reviewed here.<br />
The Sanctuary Body Wash - I've used this before and I like the smell, although it could do with being a bit more foamy.<br />
Spa Invigorating Body Scrub - not so much a scrub, more a body wash with the occasional pathetic granual thrown in for good measure. I got this in a gift set and although it smells really nice, its got the scrubbing ability of a piece of silk.<br />
The Body Shop Hemp Foot Protector - another thing I've used before. I'm not a big fan of this, as I don't find it to make a dent on my poor tootsies.<br />
2 deodorents - I'm not sure why I've included these! One has been empty for ages, so this was an opportunity to chuck it!<br />
<br />
Skincare:<br />
<br />
Clinique Moisture Surge - a staple of my winter skincare regime. I've opened a new one already.<br />
Avon Solutions Ageless Results AM and PM Cream - I tried these as Sample Sundays earlier in the month.<br />
Chantecaille Jasmin and Lily Healing Masque Sample - this was really nice - I'll do this as a Sample Sunday shortly.<br />
<br />

Well, no one took the hint, so I when I spotted it in the sale for £15 (down from £25 full price) I decided it was a must have. The set contains an eye shadow brush, a face and body brush, a lipstick and concealer brush and a brow and lash comb as well as a brush roll to store them in.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UsQ3f-04HxM/TtlIH1aAYYI/AAAAAAAAB1M/n852eB6DYGk/s1600/Gift-set+of+Make-up++Brushes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UsQ3f-04HxM/TtlIH1aAYYI/AAAAAAAAB1M/n852eB6DYGk/s1600/Gift-set+of+Make-up++Brushes.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
I have to say that these are by far the best quality brushes that I own - how I had not discovered these before? <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YqiOoyqBMso/TvzJnIIWC3I/AAAAAAAAB7g/RM207kwK-os/s1600/Eyeshadow+brush.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-YqiOoyqBMso/TvzJnIIWC3I/AAAAAAAAB7g/RM207kwK-os/s1600/Eyeshadow+brush.jpg" /></a></div><br />
The eyeshadow brush, in particular, is amazing. It is soft enough to be kind on your eyelids, but is also stiff enough to give a fantastic application. Since I got this two days ago, I've found applying my eyeshadow a complete breeze. No longer are the colours muddied and my application sloppy - this brush makes eyeshadow precise and defined. Seriously, my eyeshadow has never looked better. I'm seriously considering buying another set of these, particularly if they are reduced further.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Zzsh6YngnX4/TvzJ61zWu9I/AAAAAAAAB7s/ZjEaw_NfoGA/s1600/brow+and+lash+brush.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Zzsh6YngnX4/TvzJ61zWu9I/AAAAAAAAB7s/ZjEaw_NfoGA/s1600/brow+and+lash+brush.jpg" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-27DfOER_qpg/TvzJ7TWB_8I/AAAAAAAAB7w/8Tm_4OOkBTs/s1600/Face+and+Body+Brush.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-27DfOER_qpg/TvzJ7TWB_8I/AAAAAAAAB7w/8Tm_4OOkBTs/s1600/Face+and+Body+Brush.jpg" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F3FmiK_Y5GU/TvzJ7_ptauI/AAAAAAAAB78/jiJst4q4600/s1600/Lipstick+and+concealer+brush.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F3FmiK_Y5GU/TvzJ7_ptauI/AAAAAAAAB78/jiJst4q4600/s1600/Lipstick+and+concealer+brush.jpg" /></a></div><br />
In terms of value for money, this brush set is fantastic value. The individual <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_Makeup&CatCode=95C_Makeup_BrushesandTools&prdcode=10611m">eyeshadow brush</a> costs £9, the <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_Makeup&CatCode=95C_Makeup_BrushesandTools&prdcode=10607m">face and body brush</a> is £16, the <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_Makeup&CatCode=95C_Makeup_BrushesandTools&prdcode=10608m">lipstick and concealer brush</a> is £9 and the <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_Makeup&CatCode=95C_Makeup_BrushesandTools&prdcode=10567m">brow and lash comb</a> is £8. So, if you were to buy these individually, they would cost £42 (without the brush roll they come with). For £15 for the lot, you can't go wrong! Also, there was a huge stack of these in the store and they are still available online, so you haven't missed out on these.<br />
<br />
I'm so glad I bought these - I'd heard good things about the <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_Gifts&CatCode=C_Gifts_SALEGifts&prdcode=89933m">Body Shop brushes</a> before, but I hadn't realised quite how good they were. I'm now converted!<br />
<br />
Have you tried these? What's your best sale bargain this year?<br />

I Just Don't 'Get' LushI think I may be the one dissenting voice in blogger-land, but try as hard as I like, I just don't 'get' <a href="https://www.lush.co.uk/">Lush</a>... I'm always popping in there to see if there are any bits and pieces that tempt me, but I usually leave empty handed. I'm never sure what to buy or how to shop there. I have tried, including recommendations from other bloggers, but I just don't 'get' this brand.<br />
<br />
In the past decade or so, my Lush purchases and gifts I have received have been the following:<br />
<br />
1 bath bomb that got damp before I could use it (but smelled lovely)<br />
1 bath bomb that covered my bath in glitter and left what looked like a dead butterfly floating in my tub (it was a fabric one, but I did get a shock)<br />
1 massage bar (I do quite like this one)<br />
1 packet of Rockstar soap (that I'm using to fragrance my lingerie drawer - I'm not overly keen on the smell)<br />
1 very large bottle of Snow Fairy shower gel - I asked for this for Christmas after reading all the great reviews from other bloggers and thought this would be a good intro into Lush - to me, it smells absolutely disgusting - like medicine!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VAJU2JwZXGM/Tvy2AG0flCI/AAAAAAAAB7U/Q0EvkA8p0DY/s1600/Lush+Snow+Fairy+Shower+Gel.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VAJU2JwZXGM/Tvy2AG0flCI/AAAAAAAAB7U/Q0EvkA8p0DY/s400/Lush+Snow+Fairy+Shower+Gel.JPG" width="192" /></a></div><br />
Maybe it's because I'm not into really sweet smelling beauty products, maybe it's because taking a bath is a very rare occurrance for me (I do shower, don't worry), maybe it's because so many of their products are messy and cluttery or maybe it's because when I was a teenager Lush didn't exist - it was the Body Shop all the way for inexpensive beauty products in my formative years. I'm not sure why, but nothing from Lush is really rocking my world. My job involves me visiting town centres all over the south of England and whenever I spot a Lush, I do pop in to see if there's anything to tempt me - there rarely is.<br />
<br />
So ladies, what am I missing out on? Please help me - am I ever going to find anything in Lush that I actually like?! Given I don't take baths and I get through about 2 bars of soap a year (and have about 20 in my beauty storage), please let me know what you think I should take a look at. I could really do with some suggestions, as I'm determined to finally 'get' what all the hype is about!<br />
<br />
Thanks in advance for your help! xxTheBristolBeautyBloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138329330818583888noreply@blogger.com23tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5735643765183067203.post-52716801298157577482011-12-27T18:28:00.000+00:002011-12-27T18:28:22.530+00:00No Spend - the Final UpdateI set myself a little challenge back at the beginning of November... the challenge was to not spend any money on beauty, cosmetics, skincare etc or any clothing and accessories until 25th December. <br />
<br />
I've updated a couple of times on this, and by and large, I completed the challenge successfully. I find it easy not to spend money on clothes and accessories - although I love new clothes, I hate shopping for them, so this part of the challenge wasn't hard for me. <br />
<br />
It was slightly harder to avoid beauty and skincare products. I blogged earlier this week that I had forgotten about two Glossy Boxes which I was billed for. Fortunately, due to the way I pay for my Glossy Boxes, they come out of a different budget to my normal beauty spends...so I could pretend they didn't really count. Maybe I should. I also bought a £5 nail polish, which was bought to ensure I spent enough on Boots points night to get an additional £12 worth of points - worth it I think. What I didn't buy was any extraneous or impulse makeup or beauty. I didn't chuck anything into my trolly at the supermarket and I didn't just pop into Boots - this was helped by the fact my office has moved and I no longer have a Boots just next to my office... Last week, I did end up buying some footcare products, but these are more medical than beauty so they don't count either.<br />
<br />
So I've been pretty successful with this challenge, and I'm pleased with how it's gone. However, I have spent an obscene amount of money (for me) in the sales over the last couple of days. There are lots of bargain gift sets coming my way and some more I picked up in the sales today. I love gift sets! But I'm sure I'll have to do another no spend for most of next year to make up for it!<br />

You may remember I had set myself a challenge to reduce my body moisturiser stash to 16 moisturiser (I started with 26 and this increased to 27 during the challenge). In my last post on this challenge, I had already got down to 15 moisturisers . So I set myself a further challenge - to get down to 12 moisturisers remaining by Christmas. The good news is, I did it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-d3iHXdSYAIc/TvoBMehb07I/AAAAAAAAB7I/hyRvlT0UVOo/s1600/IMG_3599.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-d3iHXdSYAIc/TvoBMehb07I/AAAAAAAAB7I/hyRvlT0UVOo/s400/IMG_3599.JPG" width="235" /> </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The first I used was The Sanctuary Body Lotion which is a classic favourite of mine. I can't get enough of The Sanctuary's signature smell and this is a moisturising lotion which is thick enough to use in winter as well as summer. I managed to use up the whole bottle in about 2 weeks!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I got Clarins Eau Dynamisant Moisturizing Body Lotion in a bargain gift set I picked up in the sales last Christmas, but hadn't got round to using it until now. I have to say, I really loved it - I usually hate body lotions sold in fragrance gift sets, as I find they're often an afterthought and terrible quality. However, this was a complete exception. It was wonderfully softening and it absorbed really easily into my skin. I think this would be even better as a summery moisturiser, as it was quite light. However, I'd look into getting this again. Also, a little went a long way with this one and it took a while to use it up.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Finally I had a little, unidentified pot in my stash with barely anything in it. I think my Mum gave this to me ages ago, and I'd used some of it before - there was hardly anything in the pot. On reading the label, it appeared that this was a glycerine filled hand cream rather than a body cream. Nevermind, I'd counted it in my original post, so I used it on my elbows and knees and it was used up in a single application - now why didn't I do that (literally) years ago?!</div><br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-03rEUmiCjYM/Toiw8gPnC-I/AAAAAAAABnY/rUwU5p-9usg/s1600/IMG_2784.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-03rEUmiCjYM/Toiw8gPnC-I/AAAAAAAABnY/rUwU5p-9usg/s400/IMG_2784.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Most of these are now used up!</td></tr>
</tbody></table><br />
I'm going to ignore the fact that in December 3 more moisturisers found their way into my stash (and this was pre-Christmas - there's far more now). I didn't buy them, so they can be counted when I tally up my Christmas and sales beauty stash. I'm going to restart this challenge in the new year with the aim to totally clear my stash!<br />

Thanks for reading! xxTheBristolBeautyBloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138329330818583888noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5735643765183067203.post-38167673420690055582011-12-23T11:04:00.000+00:002011-12-23T11:04:14.194+00:00Pre-Christmas WaffleMerry Christmas everyone!<br />
<br />
Apologies for my lack of posting over the past couple of weeks - you know how it is with work and Christmas etc. My blog's had to take a bit of a back seat for a while. I did have lots of pre-Christmas posts planned, however, you'll have to make do with me rambling on!<br />
<br />
So, I'm almost all ready for Christmas - just one more present to get today, because annoyingly, a little outfit I'd bought for my friend's little girl ages ago still has the security tag on it. I've thrown away the receipt and I don't fancy going into town today, so I'll have to get something else for her. Other than that, I'm all set!<br />
<br />
I was running the Christmas Bloggers Weight Loss Challenge, although I noticed a lot of peoples enthusiasm dwindle after a couple of weeks, including my own. I completely forgot to post about it last week, and this week I've put on a pound. Sorry to those of you taking part - let's all start again in the New Year, when I know I'm always keen to detox. Well done to those of you who have lost more than 1lb!<br />
<br />
I've been running a couple of other challenges. The first was my total no-spend on beauty and cosmetics challenge which ends on Christmas day. I think I've done very well on this one. OK, I forgot about my Glossy Boxes, and two of them came my way, and I also bought a nail polish costing £5. I can totally justify the nail polish though, as it was when I was buying presents at a Boots points event. Without the polish, my total came to £96. However, for every £50 I spent, I'd get £12 worth of points. So, by spending an extra £5, I got £12 of points - definitely worth it and justifiable I think. Other than that, not a penny has been spent - I'm very proud of that!<br />
<br />
My Houston We Have a Problem body moisturiser challenge has also been going well. I've just about used up the last 3 body moisturisers I needed to before Christmas, and a couple of them were full sized ones as well! However, before I get too smug, Mr TBBB did bring me back some more little hotel-swiped bottles from his travels and he also got me an early Christmas present of duty-free Prada Candy... complete with body lotion! So, I've accumulated more moisturiser without even thinking about it! Once I've assessed the anticipated Christmas stash, I'm going to keep this challenge going.<br />
<br />
I've really enjoyed challenging myself to use stuff up. There's definitley some space in my beauty storage and although I know it will rapidly fill up, I am considering doing some more challenges next year to really trim down my stash. Plus, we're full steam ahead in saving at the moment to buy a new house, so anything I can do to avoid spending loads of money is a bonus. Look out for some more challenge related posts coming soon.<br />
<br />
Anyway, sorry for my waffling and lack of recent posts. I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas, having a great time with your family and friends. I'm off out to see some of my friends soon before heading off to see my family, so see you all after Christmas!<br />
<br />
Happy Christmas! xxTheBristolBeautyBloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138329330818583888noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5735643765183067203.post-88550630826703174572011-12-14T19:38:00.000+00:002011-12-14T19:38:31.857+00:00Festive Christmas Nails and Swatches - Part 3This is my third post in my Festive and Christmas Nails series. I'm trying to find out which is the most festive nail polish in my collection and I'll wear it on Christmas day. My previous posts are <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/12/festive-christmas-nails-and-swatches.html">here </a>and <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/12/festive-christmas-nails-and-swatches_13.html">here</a>.<br />
<br />
I've gone for some classic reds and greens in my previous posts, but today I'm going for something a bit different, looking at glittery polishes and colours that remind me of ice, snow and wintery nights.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3OHxGZqBg44/TuTi8sFNLCI/AAAAAAAAB6E/dCyTfLqthEg/s1600/Festive+and+Christmas+Nail+Polishes+and+Swatches+%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="253" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3OHxGZqBg44/TuTi8sFNLCI/AAAAAAAAB6E/dCyTfLqthEg/s400/Festive+and+Christmas+Nail+Polishes+and+Swatches+%25282%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
From left to right, they are <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/notd-opi-my-private-jet.html">My Private Jet</a> by OPI, Deborah Lippmann's <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/01/notd-deborah-lippmann-across-universe.html">Across The Universe</a>, Gosh <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/nails-inc-gossip-girl-inspired-notd.html">Rainbow</a>, Orly Shine and OPI Extravagance.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />

<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-niRJpuHDw7s/TuTjT3qPY7I/AAAAAAAAB6c/KZFO8_W03OA/s1600/Festive+and+Christmas+Nail+Polishes+and+Swatches+%25285%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="276" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-niRJpuHDw7s/TuTjT3qPY7I/AAAAAAAAB6c/KZFO8_W03OA/s400/Festive+and+Christmas+Nail+Polishes+and+Swatches+%25285%2529.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Thumb: Extravagance OPI; Fingers L-R: Orly Shine, Gosh Rainbow, Deborah Lippmann Across The Universe, OPI My Private Jet</td></tr>
</tbody></table><br />
OPI My Private Jet is my favourite OPI polish - it reminds me of a night sky, fully of sparky that is very multi-dimensional. Similarly, Across The Universe is also like a night sky, but more full on and inky. Rainbow looks awful applied like I have, without a dark base, but if you click my <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/nails-inc-gossip-girl-inspired-notd.html">link </a>to it over a darker colour, you will see what a beautiful, sparkly polish it is. Shine is a sparkly silver colour - very Christmassy and wintery. Finally, Extravagance was in a Glossy Box and I hadn't tried it until this swatch - I thought it would be a glitter-tastic plummy purple polish. However, it was a smooth application, very similar to My Private Jet, looking like a purple tinged galaxy on my fingers - I love it.<br />

I can't decide which of these is the most festive. I'm tempted to plump for Orly Shine, but I'm not sure. Which do you think is most suitable for Christmas?<br />

I'm showcasing nail polishes I have in my collection that I think are particularly festive and Christmassy. The first post can be found <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/12/festive-christmas-nails-and-swatches.html">here</a>.<br />
<br />
Please let me know which polish you think is the most festive in each post - I'm having a bit of a battle of the polishes competition to work out which is the most festive and I'll wear that one on Christmas Day. <br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Both Revlon polishes are matte, but I'm not sure why, because in the bottle they are shimmery. I've shown them with a topcoat, as I don't think that matte nails have any place at Christmas. The Ciate Kitten Heels polish is from a Glossy Box and I think it might be a bit tomato-y for Christmas. I wish Rising Star was slightly more golden, as it's a bit bronzy for me. Finally, Velvet by Barbara Daly is quite similar to Ruby Ribbon (when worn with a topcoat), but slightly darker. It might be more of an autumn colour than Christmas, I'm not sure. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I think that Emerald City with a topcoat is my festive pick of this lot - let me know what yours is!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

However, when I was putting it together, I noticed that one of my favourite YouTubers Carah Amelie had just done a <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/carahamelie03#p/a/u/0/ZOIS283DpYs">very similar post</a>. It must be a case of great minds think alike!<br />
<br />
Anyway, I've put together a collection of nail polishes that I think are very festive. I'm going to hold a little competition to determine which is the most festive nail polish I have in my collection and I'll wear that one on Christmas Day! All the polishes shown are ones I own and unfortunately, some are limited edition and no longer widely available. However, some are still around, so hopefully they'll be the ones you like!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AJgvSkR9tYQ/TuTYOC-LXaI/AAAAAAAAB48/_7pDEdd4_7Q/s1600/IMG_3526.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="221" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AJgvSkR9tYQ/TuTYOC-LXaI/AAAAAAAAB48/_7pDEdd4_7Q/s400/IMG_3526.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
From left to right, the polishes are Max Factore Nailfinity in Midnight Bronze, OPI <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2010/12/notd-from-opis-burlesque-collection.html">Ali's Big Break</a> from the Burlesque Collection, <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2010/10/notd-illamasqua-veridian.html">Illamasqua Veridian</a>, Chanel Black Pearl and Butter London's <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2010/10/notd-butter-london-all-hail-mcqueen.html">All Hail McQueen</a> (now available as All Hail The Queen). I've chosen some reds and greens as well as some golden and silvery tones to balance them out. Here are the swatches:<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-FbjpbyvuTG8/TuTYuTbxlDI/AAAAAAAAB5c/hRN1HUehyZM/s1600/IMG_3532.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="201" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-FbjpbyvuTG8/TuTYuTbxlDI/AAAAAAAAB5c/hRN1HUehyZM/s400/IMG_3532.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">L-R, Max Factor Midnight Bronze, OPI Ali's Big Break, Illamasqua Veridian and Butter London All Hail McQueen</td></tr>
</tbody></table><br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-FtBDCJ6ijC8/TuTYzl082DI/AAAAAAAAB5k/eMC9Tr1GIvY/s1600/IMG_3536.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="276" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-FtBDCJ6ijC8/TuTYzl082DI/AAAAAAAAB5k/eMC9Tr1GIvY/s400/IMG_3536.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">L-R - Chanel Black Pearl, Butter London All Hail McQueen, Illamasqua Veridian, OPI Ali's Big Break and Max Factor Midnight Bronze</td></tr>
</tbody></table><br />
I've linked to NOTD posts where I've done them for these polishes. You will see that I actually wore Ali's Big Break for Christmas last year. Seeing them swatched, I'm thinking that Black Pearl, All Hail McQueen (The Queen) and Midnight Bronze aren't as festive as I first thought. However, Illamasqua's Veridian and Ali's Big Break both seem to me to be perfect Christmas colours.<br />
<br />
Please comment and let me know which of these you think is your favourite festive Christmas colour!<br />

Today I'm going to review the Avon Solutions Ageless Results Night Cream PM. I'm cheating a bit here, as I actually used it last week, then forgot to review it, but nevermind.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QN8qnXqdc3o/TuTTxSCAJrI/AAAAAAAAB4s/xLsdTMJopO8/s1600/Avon+Solutions+Ageless+Results+Day+Cream+Night+Cream.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="306" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QN8qnXqdc3o/TuTTxSCAJrI/AAAAAAAAB4s/xLsdTMJopO8/s400/Avon+Solutions+Ageless+Results+Day+Cream+Night+Cream.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
So what did I think of this? Well it was quite a generous sachet, with enough for three applications. That's not really enough to tell if something is going to break you out, but it's enough to give you a good feel for a product. I first used this at night and thought it was a really nice cream - really moisturising, easily absorbed and not at all greasy. In fact, I couldn't really tell the difference to the day cream I'd tried before.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-miEmKXUpFsU/TuTT1sJBE6I/AAAAAAAAB40/yE5sESKe5pQ/s1600/Avon+Solutions+Ageless+Results+Night+Cream.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-miEmKXUpFsU/TuTT1sJBE6I/AAAAAAAAB40/yE5sESKe5pQ/s400/Avon+Solutions+Ageless+Results+Night+Cream.JPG" width="252" /></a></div><br />
I then used it the next day as a day cream, and it worked perfectly well. My makeup was fine, I didn't feel like my moisturiser was too heavy and it held up well in the cold weather we've been having recently.<br />
<br />
So, this is another winner for me. I'm not sure if I'd buy this, especially as it's clearly suitable as a day cream, despite being marketed as a night cream and because I couldn't tell the difference between the day cream that goes with it. However, I would certainly use it again if I had the chance.<br />
<br />
There seem to be loads of <a href="http://avonshop.co.uk/beauty/c/skincare/night-creams.html">Avon Solutions night creams</a> on the Avon website, but I can't see the exact product on there. Yet again, Avon change and discontinue products... <br />

I wasn't sure what to call this one, as I've noticed that many companies call presents around £25-£50 as 'stocking fillers'. I don't know about you, but I call this more money than sense! I class anything of over £10 as a 'proper' present. I'm unlikely to spend more than £20 on anyone other than my partner, parents, sisters, the very youngest of my relatives and my secretary. Everyone else gets around £15!<br />
<br />
This gift guide covers the 'proper present' price range above £10 up to about £25 (some slightly more), which I think is a fair range.<br />
<br />
<b>Boots</b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BKghj7cNRUM/TtlG-rGNMpI/AAAAAAAABzY/EsMnqqaS52k/s1600/Hello+Kitty+Liberty+Cute+Collection+Cosmetic+Bag.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BKghj7cNRUM/TtlG-rGNMpI/AAAAAAAABzY/EsMnqqaS52k/s1600/Hello+Kitty+Liberty+Cute+Collection+Cosmetic+Bag.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<b> </b>I have actually bought this <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Hello-Kitty-Liberty-Cute-Collection-Cosmetic-Bag_1219575/">Hello Kitty Liberty Cute Collection Cosmetic Bag</a> for my sister-in-law as I like it so much. How can you not like a mix of Hello Kitty and Liberty? I wish I'd got one for my sister actually, but she'll have to lump the Origins gift set I got her! There's plenty of other Hello Kitty Liberty Cute Collection products in the range - I'm sure they'll be a firm favourite, so definitely check them out. This costs £16 and is part of a 3 for 2 offer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iMq-LBra73o/TtlHEx2ufKI/AAAAAAAAB0g/cWHH71B3b-E/s1600/Sanctuary+Spa+Facial+In-a-box.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iMq-LBra73o/TtlHEx2ufKI/AAAAAAAAB0g/cWHH71B3b-E/s1600/Sanctuary+Spa+Facial+In-a-box.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><br />
You can't go wrong with The Sanctuary really. I love it and I know that lots of Mum's love it as well. I particularly liked this <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Sanctuary-Spa-Ultimate-Facial-in-a-Box_1220031/">Sanctuary Spa Facial in-a-box</a> which is £20 and contains all you need for a home facial. This is definitely a good present for someone who likes being pampered! This is also on 3 for 2.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zWoGY4PWOlg/TtlG5zCSBvI/AAAAAAAAByo/Y2KunLfgANk/s1600/Champneys+Spa+Complete+Relaxation+Kit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zWoGY4PWOlg/TtlG5zCSBvI/AAAAAAAAByo/Y2KunLfgANk/s1600/Champneys+Spa+Complete+Relaxation+Kit.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
Another gift for beauty lovers is the <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Champneys-Spa-Complete-Relaxation-Kit_1220195/">Champneys Spa Complete Relaxation Kit</a> which costs £25 (also on 3 for 2). This sounds like heaven, full of body products designed to help you relax.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-F1St-uFZ-eI/TtlHGyEBw7I/AAAAAAAAB04/7og7xaw1CG4/s1600/Soap+%2526+Glory+Not+Just+A+Pretty+Case.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-F1St-uFZ-eI/TtlHGyEBw7I/AAAAAAAAB04/7og7xaw1CG4/s1600/Soap+%2526+Glory+Not+Just+A+Pretty+Case.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
One brand that makes great gift sets is Soap & Glory. I love their <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Soap-Glory-trade-Not-Just-A-Pretty-Case-trade-_1220005/">Not Just a Pretty Case</a> which contains a number of products in a very cute vanity case. This is more expensive than some of the other products here at £35, but is also on the 3 for 2 offer. I was tempted to buy it when I saw it in store, but I suspect it may be one of Boots' Star Buy products reduced to better than half price at some point... I'm not saying it will be, but they do seem to have had a lot of similar products to last year, and their Soap & Glory offer was great last year!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-50zOHjQltkc/TtlG4G1sgxI/AAAAAAAAByU/o7OxC-7VRjA/s1600/17+Metallic+Decoration+Nail+Art+Kit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-50zOHjQltkc/TtlG4G1sgxI/AAAAAAAAByU/o7OxC-7VRjA/s1600/17+Metallic+Decoration+Nail+Art+Kit.jpg" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-T_P2wgFoL-Q/TtlG-JA3iTI/AAAAAAAABzQ/UyDnfkwzxHQ/s1600/Frontcover+Brush+Work+Nail+Art+Kit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-T_P2wgFoL-Q/TtlG-JA3iTI/AAAAAAAABzQ/UyDnfkwzxHQ/s1600/Frontcover+Brush+Work+Nail+Art+Kit.jpg" /></a></div><br />
<br />
There are two nail art kits from Boots that I like. The first is the <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Frontcover-Brush-Work-Nail-Art-Kit_1219461/">Frontcover Brush Works Nail Art Kit </a>for £20 and the second is <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/17-Metallic-Nails-Decoration-Kit_1221065/">17 Metallic Nails Decoration Kit</a> which is £16. Again, both are on 3 for 2. The Frontcover kit contains more transfers than the 17, but the 17 is keeper and I prefer the nail polishes. Either would be great for someone who likes nail art or for teenagers.<br />

<b>The Body Shop</b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UsQ3f-04HxM/TtlIH1aAYYI/AAAAAAAAB1M/n852eB6DYGk/s1600/Gift-set+of+Make-up++Brushes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UsQ3f-04HxM/TtlIH1aAYYI/AAAAAAAAB1M/n852eB6DYGk/s1600/Gift-set+of+Make-up++Brushes.jpg" /></a></div><br />
I accidentially included this <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_Gifts&CatCode=C_Gifts_25andunderGifts&prdcode=89933m">Gift-set of Make-up Brushes</a> from The Body Shop in my stocking filler gift guide - I meant to include them here instead! They cost £25 and contains 4 useful brushes. <b> </b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QUFRDwSdars/TtlG_Ess7SI/AAAAAAAABzg/_VwZyZG7SvM/s1600/Japanese+Cherry+Blossom+Medium+Gift+Box.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QUFRDwSdars/TtlG_Ess7SI/AAAAAAAABzg/_VwZyZG7SvM/s1600/Japanese+Cherry+Blossom+Medium+Gift+Box.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
This <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_Gifts&CatCode=C_Gifts_20andunderGifts&prdcode=89131m">Japanese Cherry Blossom Medium Gift Set</a> from the Body Shop contains a bath and body wash and an Eau de Toilette. It costs £20. I've not smelt this, but I really want to. This is the sort of gift I'd buy for my sisters in law.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6KtPNSkjkY0/TtlHFvKv-pI/AAAAAAAAB0o/jS6oW7DHcK8/s1600/Satsuma+Medium+Gift+Box.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6KtPNSkjkY0/TtlHFvKv-pI/AAAAAAAAB0o/jS6oW7DHcK8/s1600/Satsuma+Medium+Gift+Box.jpg" /></a></div><br />
I think I may have been given a smaller version of this <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_Gifts&CatCode=C_Gifts_25andunderGifts&prdcode=89162m">Satsuma Medium Gift Box</a> last year and I really loved it. I would definitely like to receive this under the tree again! It's something I might get for my mother-in-law or step-mother-in-law for Christmas. It costs £25.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2gquMV-YGw0/TtlHF1TJE7I/AAAAAAAAB00/EfbUJba6yS0/s1600/Shea+Butter+Medium+Gift+Box.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2gquMV-YGw0/TtlHF1TJE7I/AAAAAAAAB00/EfbUJba6yS0/s1600/Shea+Butter+Medium+Gift+Box.jpg" /></a></div><br />
If satsuma isn't your thing, you can't do wrong with the <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_Gifts&CatCode=C_Gifts_25andunderGifts&prdcode=89148m">Shea Butter Medium Gift Box</a> which contains the same products as the satsuma one, but shea butter scented. This is also £25.<br />
<br />
All Body Shop gifts are currently on buy 2 get 2 free, which is a pretty good deal!<br />
<br />
<b>Debenhams</b><br />
<br />
There is currently 10% off all beauty products, so I've posted the prices with and without discount.<br />
<br />

Currently in stock, and on offer at £31.50 rather than £35, it would make a great present for anyone, even someone who's not that into makeup.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CKIjATfIZh8/TtlHAPCwYBI/AAAAAAAABzw/gpW5UaFJRDs/s1600/Lancome+Hypnose+Precious+Cells+Mascara+Gift+Set.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="391" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-CKIjATfIZh8/TtlHAPCwYBI/AAAAAAAABzw/gpW5UaFJRDs/s400/Lancome+Hypnose+Precious+Cells+Mascara+Gift+Set.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Another good gift is the <a href="http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_123053003999_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7EBeauty%7EMake+up%7EGift+sets">Hypnose Precious Cells Mascara Gift Set</a> from Lancome. This includes mascara, a mini eyeliner and Bi-facial. This currently costs £20.25 rather than £22.50. <b> </b><b></b><br />
<b><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Tv0lVSz8weA/TtlHC_KM0BI/AAAAAAAAB0M/iJ4thmSEBzQ/s1600/Mac+Iced+Delights+Gold+Eye+Bag.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="242" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Tv0lVSz8weA/TtlHC_KM0BI/AAAAAAAAB0M/iJ4thmSEBzQ/s400/Mac+Iced+Delights+Gold+Eye+Bag.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><b><br />
</b><br />
Debenhams sell Mac online, and I like this Mac <a href="http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_123443053899_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7EBeauty%7EMake+up%7EGift+sets">Iced Delights Gold Eye Bag</a> for £32.40 (instead of £36). This is limited edition and contains two shadows, liner, mascara and a brush in a silver bag. Definitely one for a makeup junkie. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1UShfyZ4-es/TtlG5JSfH2I/AAAAAAAAByg/pD-95C0cU8A/s1600/biotherm+Aquasource+Skin+Perfecting+Gift+set.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="307" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1UShfyZ4-es/TtlG5JSfH2I/AAAAAAAAByg/pD-95C0cU8A/s400/biotherm+Aquasource+Skin+Perfecting+Gift+set.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
A possible present for your Mum? This is the <a href="http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_123986910999_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7EBeauty%7EWomens+skincare">Biotherm Aquasource Skin Perfection Gift Set</a> which costs £25.20 at the moment, down from £28.<br />
<br />
<b>John Lewis</b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R9uRd7QA4sQ/TtlHBLUo4EI/AAAAAAAABz8/MjL8W6J56BA/s1600/Leighton+Denny+Manicure+Must+Haves.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R9uRd7QA4sQ/TtlHBLUo4EI/AAAAAAAABz8/MjL8W6J56BA/s320/Leighton+Denny+Manicure+Must+Haves.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xe73eCXQ37E/TtlHBwmB4kI/AAAAAAAAB0E/gzvDh65We4I/s1600/Leighton+Denny+Totally+Groomed.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xe73eCXQ37E/TtlHBwmB4kI/AAAAAAAAB0E/gzvDh65We4I/s320/Leighton+Denny+Totally+Groomed.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
John Lewis have a couple of Leighton Denny gift sets, both of which look fab. <a href="http://www.johnlewis.com/231297614/Product.aspx">The Leighton Denny Manicure Must Haves</a> is pricey at £39, but is packed full of stuff for a nail addict. If this is out of your price range, then the <a href="http://www.johnlewis.com/127746/Product.aspx">Leighton Denny Totally Groomed</a> kit is cheaper at £24.75.<b> </b> <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-p9TGLraI0wk/TtlPXL69RaI/AAAAAAAAB2k/rufZRb2ybFk/s1600/Filofax+Songbird+Personal+Organiser.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-p9TGLraI0wk/TtlPXL69RaI/AAAAAAAAB2k/rufZRb2ybFk/s400/Filofax+Songbird+Personal+Organiser.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Not really beauty related, but totally girly is this <a href="http://www.johnlewis.com/269093/Product.aspx">Filofax Songbird Personal Organiser</a> in purple. This is £25.60 and would be a great gift for a girly girl.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vfEAnbzII3g/TtlPU-eYJ0I/AAAAAAAAB2I/lF8_T07ZKJ0/s1600/Clinique+Black+Honey+Make-up+Gift+Set.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vfEAnbzII3g/TtlPU-eYJ0I/AAAAAAAAB2I/lF8_T07ZKJ0/s400/Clinique+Black+Honey+Make-up+Gift+Set.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
I'm always going on about how much I love Clinique makeup, especially their eyeshadows. So, I would love to find this <a href="http://www.johnlewis.com/231405989/Product.aspx">Clinique Black Honey Make-up Gift Set</a> under my tree. I want it! It costs £27.90.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-J-quMsy6_3Y/TtlPeJmlrSI/AAAAAAAAB3s/DJO8YX7VXy4/s1600/Origins+Ginger+Treats+Gift+Set.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-J-quMsy6_3Y/TtlPeJmlrSI/AAAAAAAAB3s/DJO8YX7VXy4/s400/Origins+Ginger+Treats+Gift+Set.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
They also did this last year, and I'm really pleased they're doing it again. The <a href="http://www.johnlewis.com/231323370/Product.aspx">Origins Ginger Treats Gift Set</a> costs £26.10 which is a bargain, as it contains three Origins Ginger products. I bought this for one of my sisters last year and the other one is getting it this year.<br />
<br />
<b>House of Fraser</b><br />
<br />
There is currently a good sale on at House of Fraser, so I've posted the prices as they are at the time of writing as well as their normal prices. There are some excellent bargains!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Z9wl5ZR0BO4/TtlPeya_BiI/AAAAAAAAB3w/0zOcPRYm-mc/s1600/Rose+%2526++Co+Rose+%2526+Patchouli+Bath+Set.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Z9wl5ZR0BO4/TtlPeya_BiI/AAAAAAAAB3w/0zOcPRYm-mc/s400/Rose+%2526++Co+Rose+%2526+Patchouli+Bath+Set.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br />
This Rose & Co <a href="http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Rose+Co+Rose+Patchouli+Bath+Set/160842683,default,pd.html">Rose and Patchouli Bath set</a> is currently on offer at £13.50 instead of £15. This is what I class as an 'Aunt' present!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PX9nyciZ-D8/TtlPTEDoskI/AAAAAAAAB1w/ebbSVcpbg9Y/s1600/Benefit+Powdawowza+gift+Set.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PX9nyciZ-D8/TtlPTEDoskI/AAAAAAAAB1w/ebbSVcpbg9Y/s400/Benefit+Powdawowza+gift+Set.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br />
From Benefit, you can buy the <a href="http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Benefit+Powdawowza+Gift+Set/157670506,default,pd.html">Powdawozer Gift Set</a> for £17.55 instead of £19.50. This contains three blushers/bronzers and would be suitable for any beauty addict or teenager.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5PzMLVr_OrY/TtlPWRgFEyI/AAAAAAAAB2c/SA9OoKHnNss/s1600/Espa+Bath+Oil+Set.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5PzMLVr_OrY/TtlPWRgFEyI/AAAAAAAAB2c/SA9OoKHnNss/s400/Espa+Bath+Oil+Set.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br />
The <a href="http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/ESPA+Bath+Oil+Collection/160873935,default,pd.html">ESPA Bath Oil Collection</a> looks like a perfect present for spoiling your Mum. It costs £24.30 instead of £27 and has 6 different bath oils.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eF0Y4sDX8L8/TtlPVUtq-aI/AAAAAAAAB2U/cGKqoZ4FgHY/s1600/Cowshed+Baby+Cow+Organics+Gift+Set.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eF0Y4sDX8L8/TtlPVUtq-aI/AAAAAAAAB2U/cGKqoZ4FgHY/s400/Cowshed+Baby+Cow+Organics+Gift+Set.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br />
If you have a new baby to buy for, this <a href="http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Cowshed+Baby+Cow+Organics+Gift+Set/161367589,default,pd.html">Cowshed Baby Cow Organics Gift Set</a> could be the perfect present. As well as three dinky baby toilettries, it has Floyd the Sponge who is a cutie! This costs £23.40 (usually £26).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DwJsOBa6rbk/TtlPZwV2gmI/AAAAAAAAB3A/phv45Nxyqo4/s1600/Kama+Sutra+Lover%2527s+Travel+Kit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DwJsOBa6rbk/TtlPZwV2gmI/AAAAAAAAB3A/phv45Nxyqo4/s400/Kama+Sutra+Lover%2527s+Travel+Kit.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br />
Finally, something a little bit naughty! I noticed this <a href="http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Kama+Sutra+Lover%60s+Travel+Kit%3A/157913857,default,pd.html">Kama Sutra Lover's Travel Kit</a> for £25.60 (down from £32) and thought I had to include it! It contains lots of naughty goodies - possibly a present to buy your man (or for him to buy for you)! <br />
<br />
I was going to include more presents, but this has already turned into the world's longest blog post and I think there's a large range here. I will be posting more on wildly expensive gifts and having a look at Christmas fragrances as well, so look out for these. Don't forget my Stocking Filler and under £10 post <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/11/bristol-beauty-blogs-christmas-gift.html">here </a>as well.<br />

Well, I've been a bit slack on the old exercise front this week, but have been eating pretty well, so I'm pleased to have lost 1 lb. Only 5 more to go, and 3 weeks to do it in! I'd better step it up, I think!<br />
<br />
I did start to go for a run last weekend - I was intending to do 5 miles. However, after I'd run a mile, one of the many straps on my (frankly over-engineered) sports bra decided to ping off. I ducked down an alley to try to sort it out, but there was no way I was going to fix it without taking my bra off! So I was forced to walk home the mile I'd just run (as my boobs were now unequal) and by the time I got in, I was really cold and grumpy, so I gave up on going out again... <br />

I've also been using up loads of empties, being on a total no-spend at the moment. It feels like I'm finally getting some space back.<br />

Hair Care:<br />
<br />
James Brown Photo Fabulous Intensive Treatment - I've reviewed this <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/11/james-brown-photo-fabulous-range.html">here</a>.<br />
John Frieda Conditioner - I got this wiith a hair dye kit and I love it - packed full of silicates and lots of nasties that make my hair look and feel great! I know it's bad, but it works for my hair.<br />
<br />
Shower Gel:<br />
<br />
Novotel freebie shower gel - very unisex, but I liked it's fresh smell - I'd put it in my bag if I stayed in a Novotel in the future.<br />
L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Shower Gel - I've reviewed this <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/11/loccitane-fleur-de-cerisier-cherry.html">here</a>.<br />
<br />
Face Wash:<br />
<br />
Palmers Coco Butter Formula Daily Cleansing Gel - the longer I used this, the more I liked it. A full review is coming soon.<br />
<br />
Body Lotions and Butters:<br />
<br />
If you read my blog regularly, you'll know that I'm on a mission to use these all up. I've blogged about these <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/11/houston-we-have-problem-body.html">here </a>and <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/11/houston-we-have-problem-body_26.html">here</a>.<br />
<br />
Hand and Foot Cream:<br />
<br />
The Sanctuary Hand Cream - I really like this - I always keep hand cream by my front door and I put it on everytime I go out. This is definitely one I'd repurchase, really moisturising and not too greasy.<br />
<br />
Flexitol Heel Balm -if you can get over the ugly picture on the box of cracked heels, then this is amazing, especially if you have terrible feet like me.<br />
<br />
Face Cream:<br />
<br />
Skin Wisdom Age Delay Night Cream - love this stuff, reviewed it <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/skin-wisdom-age-delay-replenishing-and.html">here</a>.<br />

Makeup:<br />
<br />
Rimmel pressed powder - I was supposed to be using this up at the <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/01/beauty-diet-reboot-part-two-makeup.html">beginning of the year</a>, but found it was still in my stash this month - it was definitely past its best, so in the bin it goes!<br />
Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil - I've repurchased this several times and will again.<br />
No 7 Colour Calming Make-up Base - this was another item I was supposed to use up <a href="http://thebristolbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2011/01/beauty-diet-reboot-part-two-makeup.html">earlier this year</a> - it's never going to happen, so I'm chucking it.<br />
<br />
So loads used up this month and my storage is no longer groaning! <br />

There's plenty going on this month, but if I've missed anything out, please let me know!<br />
<br />
<br />
<b>Goodness and Wonder</b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WOF9dSTYUlU/TralXl5g4gI/AAAAAAAABiE/deBcBvLVad4/s1600/September+2011+152.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WOF9dSTYUlU/TralXl5g4gI/AAAAAAAABiE/deBcBvLVad4/s400/September+2011+152.jpg" width="265" /></a></div><br />
Firstly, <a href="http://www.goodnessandwonder.co.uk/">Goodness and Wonder</a> are holding a workshop tomorrow evening (1st December) at the St Werburgh's Community Centre in Bristol on making your own Christmas presents. It starts at 7pm and costs £39. I had intended to go myself, but unfortunately, I can't make it as my office is moving tomorrow, so I might try out some of their other workshops in the new year - I'd love to have a go at making my own beauty products!<br />
<br />
<b>Blinkz Eyelashes</b><br />
<br />
Again, tomorrow (1st December) <a href="http://eyelashez.co.uk/">Blinkz Eyelashes</a> have a special offer in their Staple Hill salon, Glitzy Nails and Beauty. You can get a full set of semi-permanent eyelashes for £35. If you're interested, it's worth following Aimee on <a href="https://twitter.com/#%21/blinkzeyelashez">Twitter</a>, as she regularly tweets about special offers and they sound fab!<br />
<br />
<b>Teepee Bristol</b><br />
<br />
Ali from <a href="http://www.teepeebristol.com/">Teepee Bristol</a> contacted me to let me know about a special offer she has on at the moment. New for December, she is launching the Teepee Bristol TREATment which costs just £25. She says it is a lovely warming treatment of a 30 minute stimulating back massage with warm zingy oil to get the circulation going plus a choice of 15 minutes head/hands/feet massage. Based in Backfields Lane, just off Stokes Croft, this sounds like a lovely treat after a hard spot of Christmas shopping in town. The TREATment will be available until spring, so you could go after you've hit the sales as well!<br />
<br />
<b>My Street Chic</b><br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.mystreetchic.com/blog/2011/11/14/mystreetchiccom-fashion-bloggers-christmas-party">My Street Chic</a> are holding a Fashion Bloggers Christmas Party... and guess what? It's in Bristol! The even will be held on Friday 16th December at 7pm at Java on Park Street. The event costs £5 and includes a fashion show of partywear from <a href="http://www.boohoo.com/">Boohoo</a>, a goodie bag and DJs once the fashion show is over. Fashion and beauty bloggers are welcome and it sounds really fab. Unfortunately, it clashes with my work Christmas party, so I can't make it myself - boo!<br />
<br />
<b>Grace Emmerson Makeup Lessons</b><br />
<br />
I've blogged before about <a href="http://www.graceemmerson.com/makeup_lessons.htm">Grace Emmerson</a> and she is teaming up with makeup artist Nina Norman to hold a makup lesson using Dr Hauschka products. This will be held on Wednesday 7th December between 10.30am - 3pm. Individual sessions cost £30 and last 45 minutes - they include a goodie bag of products as well. <br />
<br />
<b>Space NK</b><br />
<br />
As an N.dulge member, <a href="http://www.spacenk.co.uk/jump.do?itemID=5&itemType=LANDING&page=ExclusiveEvent">Space NK</a> sent me an email saying they are having a Christmas shopping event on Wednesday 7th December (which is also open for non-N.dulge members). However, they don't have a list of times of individual stores opening for the evening, so you'll have to email or ring up if you want to visit the store in Bristol. The event costs £10, redeemable against purchases and if you spend £60, you'll get a free candle. If you spend more than £120, you'll get even more gifts. Being Space NK, you'll probably get a load of goodies free as well...<br />
<br />
<b>Harvey Nichols</b><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wOAsFHZN0UE/TtaG3a0EXlI/AAAAAAAAByE/m2FSm8bBFuE/s1600/HN+Christmas+windows+main.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wOAsFHZN0UE/TtaG3a0EXlI/AAAAAAAAByE/m2FSm8bBFuE/s400/HN+Christmas+windows+main.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Finally, I was sent a photo of Harvey Nichols' Christmas window display and I thought I'd post it here as it looks quite wow! TheBristolBeautyBloghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06138329330818583888noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5735643765183067203.post-82735667617913770912011-11-27T17:51:00.001+00:002011-11-27T17:56:00.550+00:00Sample Sunday - Avon Solutions Ageless Results Day Cream AMAnother moisturiser post for my Sample Sunday - I'm on a no-spend at the moment, so I'm using up my moisturiser samples to make my actual moisturisers last longer! Today I'm testing out the am day cream sample for Avon Ageless Solutions Ageless Results. I'll do the pm sample next week.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sPA_KOKF_N8/TtE18JI4YFI/AAAAAAAABv0/xP0VEPwwPks/s1600/Avon+Solutions+Ageless+Results+Day+Cream+Night+Cream.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="306" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sPA_KOKF_N8/TtE18JI4YFI/AAAAAAAABv0/xP0VEPwwPks/s400/Avon+Solutions+Ageless+Results+Day+Cream+Night+Cream.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
So what are my thoughts? Well it's a decent sized sample, so I'll have a couple more applications after today. It's a relatively rich cream, although it's light enough to use as a day cream under makeup. It smells inoffensive, and I actually quite liked the cream. I've only popped out for a bit today with this on, so I've not spent much time outside. However, it seemed to be coping well in the cold weather, when my skin often goes haywire. It feels moisturising and my skin doesn't feel at all tight as some anti-ageing moisturisers often make it feel.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HlT257QYXSY/TtE1xBPXJ_I/AAAAAAAABvs/-DfeiKgnjXs/s1600/Avon+Solutions+Ageless+Results+Day+Cream.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HlT257QYXSY/TtE1xBPXJ_I/AAAAAAAABvs/-DfeiKgnjXs/s400/Avon+Solutions+Ageless+Results+Day+Cream.JPG" width="262" /></a></div><br />
I'm quite looking forward to trying the night cream as well - potentially a cream to purchase in the future.<br />
<br />
I think <a href="http://avonshop.co.uk/shop/product.asp?pf_id=36179&from=search&find_spec=ageless%20solutions&pagenum=1">this is the product</a> on the Avon website, priced at £8 (on offer, usually £11). Avon are always changing product names and discontinuing things - stop doing it Avon! <br />

Today I'm looking at the lower priced range of gifts, good for stocking fillers and lower priced presents.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lv-_T5YAZps/TtGNNT5UBuI/AAAAAAAABwg/LFo6peSulqg/s1600/Sweet+Snuggles+Hot+Water+Bottle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lv-_T5YAZps/TtGNNT5UBuI/AAAAAAAABwg/LFo6peSulqg/s400/Sweet+Snuggles+Hot+Water+Bottle.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<br />
From Superdrug, I spotted this <a href="http://www.superdrug.com/pamper/sweet-snuggles-hot-water-bottle/invt/254539/&bklist=">Sweet Snuggles Hot Water Bottle</a> for £5.99. Very cute, and perfect for a girlie girl! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-G4ZV4SGEXiQ/TtGNKmK6rzI/AAAAAAAABwA/L-vRAuENHCE/s1600/Colourworks+18+Eye+shadow+palette.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-G4ZV4SGEXiQ/TtGNKmK6rzI/AAAAAAAABwA/L-vRAuENHCE/s400/Colourworks+18+Eye+shadow+palette.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
For a younger teenager, I really like this <a href="http://www.superdrug.com/make-up/colourworks-18-eye-shadow-palette/invt/254324/&bklist=">Colourworks 18 Eye Shadow Palette</a>, a snip at £6.99. This is also from Superdrug and I think it would be suitable for a teenager who's beginning to experiment with makeup - there's a really good range of colours.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vGTgkjWBRjE/TtGNqBhkMrI/AAAAAAAABw0/neym8PEFEAM/s1600/Natural+Moods+Mini+Care+Sets+Relaxing.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vGTgkjWBRjE/TtGNqBhkMrI/AAAAAAAABw0/neym8PEFEAM/s320/Natural+Moods+Mini+Care+Sets+Relaxing.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
Also at Superdrug, and for a bargain £1.99, this <a href="http://www.superdrug.com/washing+bathing/natural-moods-mini-care-set-relaxing/invt/254472/&bklist=">Natural Moods Mini Care Set</a> with a relaxing bath soak and body lotion is a perfect stocking filler. I might also pick up one or two as "extra" gifts - you know, when someone gets you a present and you haven't got them one back in return! The Superdrug gifts are also on 3 for 2, which makes them even more of a good deal!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-I1WKzx4r6UM/TtGNLImdViI/AAAAAAAABwM/7hvEV6Z-KQw/s1600/Festive+Striped+Bath+Gloves.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-I1WKzx4r6UM/TtGNLImdViI/AAAAAAAABwM/7hvEV6Z-KQw/s400/Festive+Striped+Bath+Gloves.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Scrubbing gloves are something I use quite often, but usually come in really boring colours. I'm currently using black glittery ones I got for Christmas a couple of years ago, but these <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_Gifts&CatCode=C_Gifts_3For2OnStockingFillers&prdcode=89640m">Festive Striped Bath Gloves</a> would make a nice change! I love the pattern and they'd also be a perfect stocking filler. These cost £4 from The Body Shop.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xqW4UVz746c/TtGNMByHeMI/AAAAAAAABwQ/cYQZi_A7GsY/s1600/Gift-set+of+Make-up++Brushes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xqW4UVz746c/TtGNMByHeMI/AAAAAAAABwQ/cYQZi_A7GsY/s400/Gift-set+of+Make-up++Brushes.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
I don't know about you, but I often get really rubbish brushes for Christmas as presents from distant relatives. However, I wouldn't turn my nose up if I received this <a href="http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_Gifts&CatCode=C_Gifts_25andunderGifts&prdcode=89933m">Gift-set of Make-up Brushes</a> from The Body Shop - they're known for being good quality. This is currently retailing at £17.50 until 28 November (rather than £25) and contains 4 useful brushes. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qZeguaeVIqw/TtJLK0BRjZI/AAAAAAAABxM/lTpiwZthJh8/s1600/Julian+McDonald+Black+Glitter+Nails.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qZeguaeVIqw/TtJLK0BRjZI/AAAAAAAABxM/lTpiwZthJh8/s400/Julian+McDonald+Black+Glitter+Nails.jpg" width="267" /></a></div><br />
At Debenhams, you can pick up these <a href="http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_157110903099_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7EBeauty%7EMake+up%7EGift+sets">Black Glitter Nails</a> by Star by Julian McDonald. They're currently on offer for £6.40, although they usually cost £8. I'd definitely like to see these in my Christmas stocking!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ADLb0BPSbL0/TtJLLzUfsTI/AAAAAAAABxk/2tgdh_ng04U/s1600/Pin+Up+Nail+Collection+Floozie+Frost+French.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="173" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ADLb0BPSbL0/TtJLLzUfsTI/AAAAAAAABxk/2tgdh_ng04U/s400/Pin+Up+Nail+Collection+Floozie+Frost+French.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
I think this collection of <a href="http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_157003501999_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7EBeauty%7EMake+up%7EGift+sets">Pin Up Nail Polishes</a> by Floozie by Frost French at Debenhams is really cute. The polish bottles have a variety of designs and the colours look great. This is currently on offer at £8 (normally £10). <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_aUphSaPVAo/TtJLNIrKBGI/AAAAAAAABxo/VClYL3aMue4/s1600/Ruby+Hammer+Recommends+Eyeliner+Collection.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="342" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_aUphSaPVAo/TtJLNIrKBGI/AAAAAAAABxo/VClYL3aMue4/s400/Ruby+Hammer+Recommends+Eyeliner+Collection.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
This one would be great for a teenager - The <a href="http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_157002500199_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7EBeauty%7EMake+up%7EGift+sets">Eyeliner Collection</a> from Ruby Hammer Recommends at Debenhams is only £7 for 10 metallic pencils. There is a wide range of colours in the set - actually, forget a teenager, I'd really like it myself!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vyntBVZ4M9g/TtJLNo2VyqI/AAAAAAAABxw/MEpXapN0-rk/s1600/Stila+Striking+in+South+Beach+Travel+Palette.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="356" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vyntBVZ4M9g/TtJLNo2VyqI/AAAAAAAABxw/MEpXapN0-rk/s400/Stila+Striking+in+South+Beach+Travel+Palette.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
If you think that you need to earn megabucks to shop at Harvey Nichols, you should think again. They have quite a few things in their Christmas gift range for under £10 including some really cute palettes from Stila at £10. My favourite is <a href="http://www.harveynichols.com/beauty/categories/make-up-1/face/s388817-stila-striking-in-south-beach-travel-palette.html">Stila Striking In South Beach</a> which contains 4 eye colours, a blusher and a bronzer. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Wi1YlYDgn6k/TtJLKN3stII/AAAAAAAABxI/91TruFF4Obg/s1600/Cath+Kidston+Wild+Flower+Lip+Balm+Set.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Wi1YlYDgn6k/TtJLKN3stII/AAAAAAAABxI/91TruFF4Obg/s400/Cath+Kidston+Wild+Flower+Lip+Balm+Set.jpg" width="400" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sm3GvOZAHGg/TtJLJ9omLZI/AAAAAAAABxA/pevxA8lMeEI/s1600/Cath+Kidston+Cherry+Blossom+Soap+With+Dish.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sm3GvOZAHGg/TtJLJ9omLZI/AAAAAAAABxA/pevxA8lMeEI/s400/Cath+Kidston+Cherry+Blossom+Soap+With+Dish.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br />
Who doesn't love Cath Kidston? Perfect for your Granny or your best friend, John Lewis has a range of Cath Kidston gifts which are reasonably priced. The <a href="http://www.johnlewis.com/231319499/Product.aspx">Wild Flower Lipbalm Set</a> costs £10 and has 3 lipbalms in it. The <a href="http://www.johnlewis.com/176679/Product.aspx">Cherry Blossom Soap With Dish</a> looks great and only costs £7. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aJ1NOqJm9FU/TtGNN2TMTMI/AAAAAAAABwo/zVO0nA9zsXc/s1600/Urban+Decay+Mini+Tattoos.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aJ1NOqJm9FU/TtGNN2TMTMI/AAAAAAAABwo/zVO0nA9zsXc/s400/Urban+Decay+Mini+Tattoos.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br />
At House of Fraser, you can get these <a href="http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Urban+Decay+Mini+Tattoos/153358788,default,pd.html">Urban Decay Mini Tattoos</a> for £8. I think they'd be perfect for older teenagers and younger adults as a stocking filler. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-t96mvz66wz4/TtGNKC4UdGI/AAAAAAAABv8/hjoYO18Qy7Y/s1600/Bliss+Santa%2527s+Little+Helpers+Set.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-t96mvz66wz4/TtGNKC4UdGI/AAAAAAAABv8/hjoYO18Qy7Y/s400/Bliss+Santa%2527s+Little+Helpers+Set.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br />

Finally, if you head to the <a href="https://www.catscharitygifts.org.uk/">Cats Protection League website</a> you can buy virtual gifts for your family and friends. You can buy a virtual toy for £5, a virtual lifesaving Christmas Dinner for £12 or even a virtual rehome for £1,500, as well as other virtual gifts in a range of prices - definitely one for cat lovers! The Cats Protection League also have a range of real gifts which are available <a href="http://www.catsprotectionshop.co.uk/acatalog/Catalogue.html">here</a>. Purrfect for feline fans (groan)!<br />
<br />
Anyway, I hope that has given you a few ideas on what to buy your friends and family at the lower price range. I am planning to have a look at slightly more expensive gifts, budget busting gifts and also my pick of fragrances and fragrance gift sets over the next couple of weeks as well.<br />
